Editor’s Note
This Special Issue (Volume 15 Issue No.1) is dedicated to the the 10th DBA-Africa Management Review Annual International Conference, 2025 which was held in hybrid format on the 22nd October 2025 as part of the University of Nairobi (UoN) Annual Research Week Conferences.
This conference was made a reality through close collaboration with the DBA-AMR (Africa Management Review) Journal which is currently on its 15th Edition and year of publication. The Conference continues to be held under the banner of the University of Nairobi (UoN) Annual Conference Week. The Theme of this year’s 10th DBA Africa Management Review Annual International Conference was “Upscaling Research, Innovation, and Enterprise Development,” and reflected our commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering creativity, and supporting enterprise as a pathway to Africa’s sustainable development.
This year the Conference attracted over 78 registered participants and a total of 28 oral conference papers were presented. This included four keynote speakers who presented on areas that were of contemporary interest. This Conference is a significant milestone because it provides a platform for us to showcase our research, share innovations, and engage in critical dialogue on how to translate ideas into meaningful impact. For our students and young scholars – who formed more than 76% of the Conference participants, it was also a moment to be inspired by seeing how academic work can transform societies, receive real-time feedback and open up new opportunities.
The ultimate goal of the DBA-AMR Annual Conferences is provide a platform evidencing that research is no longer a luxury but rather, a powerful tool that cuts across all facets of life - be it in academia, government, corporates or the private sector. The 15th Special Issue of the DBA-AMR Journal, as a way of expanding the reach of other scholars, practitioners and students that may have missed out in the conferences has provided a platform to share the “Conference Programme and Book of Astracts” for the papers that were presented. Subsequently, we look forward to publishing a limited number of outstanding papers that will meet the journal’s requirement in the near future.
The DBA Africa Management Review is a quarterly publication of University of Nairobi, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, Nairobi, Kenya.
It is a business and management journal published under ISSN-2224-2023 as an Open Acess (OA) Journal published in English and reviewed through a double blinded/peer reviewed process in the following Thematic areas:
